Compact, lightweight, simple and – above all – effective.
It’s made from metal yet is still lightweight. It fits really – handily – in your hand and the design makes the aim very direct. It’s got a lovely soft grip material and you can lock the trigger in the on position instead of having to hold it there. And those with smaller hands can adjust and set the position of the lever so that’s always comfortable to use.
The spray is simply adjusted by turning the nozzle back and forth – incredibly smoothly. Like a knife through butter. And perhaps the secret weapon is the metal nozzle itself, which creates a very defined spray pattern from ‘pencil’ to a mist. One nozzle does all!
Our hose is a bit different. It’s got a colourful braided outer like your see in motor vehicles. It doesn’t have the preformed kink of typical hoses which sometimes can be a battle to roll up. Instead, this one’s a bit floppier making it easy to drop back into the mesh pocket (or roll up if that’s your thing). At the end of use simply switch off the washer, depress the spray gun lever until the water is purged from the hose, and then simply roll it up.
Our battery. Does more than the job. Easily recycled.
The battery we use is a very simple VRLA (lead acid) type. It runs for around 30 minutes between charges. Treated well, it should last up to 5 years. Treating well means don’t forget to charge after each use to keep it healthy.
The great news is that there are facilities to do the recycling in the UK. At the moment while lithium-ion batteries can be collected for recycling they have to be shipped overseas to be reprocessed.
Our pump. Tiny. But you wouldn’t know it.
Key to getting JetWet as light as it is was to source light and effective components. It’s the same for the pump. It’s surprising how such a light and compact pump can be as provide 6PSI of working pressure, more than at least one of our competitors. Other pumps are noticeably heavier.
